Sony Ericsson - Z300Sony Ericsson launches the Z300 entry level clamshell
Earlier this week Sony Ericsson launched a new line of entry level handsets for most world markets. The only clamshell model in the new lineup is the Z300. The Z300 is a good look handset that takes some styling cues from the Z520, but lacks such extras as a color exterior display and a digital camera.
The Z300's antenna is also different from that of the Z520. It appears that instead of making an obvious loop for the antenna, as was done in the Z520, Sony Ericsson has made the loop the top part of the hinge so that it is less obvious. I always liked the loop antenna design, but it has met with much criticism in the press and in the reactions I have seen personally. I think this was probably a good design move for Sony Ericsson.
The Z300 will be available in two dual-band GSM flavors, one for the Americas and one for the rest of the world. It should be available on retail shelves by the end of this year.Specifications for the Sony Ericsson Z300
