LOOKS GREAT!
My husband bought me this phone for Valentines day (not really a romantic!) and i loved the way it looked, its bronze on the outside, although you can get them in silver, you open it up and there is a big mirror with the screen in the middle on the top part of the phone and on the bottoms part there is a smaller magnifing mirror which is surrounded my buttons (as picture shows). It comes with a cleaning cloth for the mirrors. You hear through the top mirror and speak into the smaller mirror
The other good good thing about the way this phone looks, is when it is closed it looks just like a make up compact, so less likely to get stolen as you would not necessarylly think it was a phone.
There are also no unsightly holes for chargers and things as the only one is covered by a sliding bit of plastic which is the same colour as the phone.
FEATURES
This is the bad side to this phone, there are few features. It has a coloured screen, which is always good, it also has poly ring tones and predictive text, it had built in screen savers, but you can not use your own and thats about it.
It has no camera, no blue tooth, no infa red, and you can not even get SMS delivery reports.
The battery how ever does last for ages, i admit i dont use my phone a whole lot, but i only charge it once a week.
PRACTICALITY
This phone is far from practical, as i mentioned before the numbers are in a circle around a small mirror, this means that if you are used to using a standard phone, the numbers are all in the wrong place, this make texting very difficult, but you do get used to it.
The phone book is stored in your sim card and does not give you the option to store it on the phone, which is good in the sence that you can swap from phone to phone without any hassle but also means you have very limited space for phone number, text etc.
When you speak to someone on the phone the minute you finish taking you need to get the cleaning clth and wipe the mirrors, as im sure you can imagin, they get steamed up from where you are talking right in to them.
The ring tone volume is not the best either, its very quiet and even on the loudest volume i tend to miss calls.
SUMMARY
Although i have given many reasons why not to buy this phone, i love the way it looks and the features are good enough for the amount i use it.
This phone came from Ebay and cost about £70.00, which is cheaper than i have seen it elsewhere, but it came from Germany so only had a 2 pin charger and i could not find an adapter for love nor money, so i had to use my old charger for my Siemens S55 as they have the same connection this was not a problem, but may be for petential buyers.
I would recommend this phone if like me you dont use it much and can get by without the features, or if you just want to use it as a second phone for pubbing and clubbing, almost like a conversation starter, it is very unsual and people always without fail comment on it, even if the hate it! |
