Siemens - SFG75Siemens SFG75
The Siemens SFG75 is the first obvious product of the recent BenQ-Siemens Mobiles merger - as it's not a new handset at all, it actually appears to be an enhanced version of the BenQ S80 3G phone, sometimes sold as the O2 X4. (In fact, the only pictures we could source from Siemens are identical to those from BenQ).
At 110 grams, the Siemens SFG75 is pretty lightweight for a 3G phone, and it comes with Bluetooth (which the BenQ S80 and O2 X4 don't). There's a pretty standard 176x220 pixel display, 1.3 megapixel digital camera, expandable memory using miniSD cards, MP3 and video player, web browser and email client. As it's a 3G phone, it also comes with video calling, high-speed data and all the usual features.
As with many BenQ phones, this is only a dual-band GSM handset when you look past the Siemens SFG75's 3G capabilities. It's not the world's most exciting 3G handset, but at 110 grams it's certainly one of the lightest, and the specifications overall seem to keep up with the current demand for music phones.
Siemens say that the SFG75 should be available from November 2005. Presumably some cosmetic changes will be made to the model shown here (the word "Siemens" is a clear omission) - priced in what Siemens call the "mid range" of the market.
