Siemens - A70Siemens A70
It's pretty rare that we see a handset as basic as the Siemens A70, but this is a reminder of how phones used to be. There's no camera, a 101x64 pixel monochrome display, no Java and no WAP browser, but it does has polyphonic ringtones, two embedded games and predictive text, calculator and alarm. It's almost astonishingly basic, but the low number of features mean that the A70 weighs only 78 grams and has up to 5 hours talktime and 10 days standby. Available from Q2 2005, it comes in two tri-band GSM variants of 900/1800/1900 MHz and 850/1800/1900 MHz. Like the other new A series phones, the A70 has been designed to be as simple to use as possible.
