Sharp - GX17Sharp GX17 Overview
The Sharp GX17 is a good phone, period. Its not fancy, has no special feature that has been seen for the first time in this handset nor is it groundbreaking from any point of view. However the smart styling, the easy to use design and the standard candy bar shape still manages to win hearts. Its light weight, just 85 grams and has compact dimensions as well 106 x 45.5 x 17.4 mm. Yet it manages to pack in a decent screen with a size of 120 x 160 pixels (it is a TFT with 65,000 colors).
The built-in camera will also be capable of recording video. However do not expect some excellent quality since it is a standard VGA camera only. On the connectivity front, the GX17 is well connected with Bluetooth and USB ports. It has no expansion slot, so the use of camera will have to be controlled. Since it has no other function like say a music playing capability, the internal memory should be sufficient for other purposes. While the internal memory is dynamically shared between features, a part of it is set aside for J2ME applications which are supported by the Sharp GX 17. As compared to the GX15, this one has an e-mail client and the more latest version of Java. |
