Sagem - MY G5New "fun" mobile from Sagem: myG-5 with full color!
Being the follow up model of the much anticipated MY-X5, the new "fun machine" from Sagem named the my-G5 is aimed at the medium range of mobile users, and has some extraordinary entertainment features. Sagem's newest handset features a 256 STN LCD colour display, polyphonic Hi-Fi melodies, and full support for In-Fusio's latest Ex-En graphics accelerator.
On the outside the my-G5 looks quite impressive. It looks just like a gamepad, since it features an integrated "cross" which replaces the traditional menu key that most handsets use nowadays. The integrated "cross" is used not only as a way to navigate inside the phone's unique menu, but it can also be used as a fully functional game controller for the integrated games you'll find inside.
Through the In-Fusio service, users can download more games(two of them are pre-installed), news, and fun features simply by exchanging SMS messages with the In-Fusio contact center. After previewing them inside their my-G5, they can use GPRS or CSD services to download and play offline for hours!
The handset's dimensions are 105 x 46 x 20 mm, with a weight of 92 gr. It supports GPRS (class 8) services, EMS (5.0), IrDA connection, hi-fi ringtones, and a WAP 1.2.1 Browser.
Inside the phone there's support for: GIF, animated GIF, JPEG, png, bmp, midi, iMelody, wav files, as well as storage for 100 Short Messages. Users can find approximately 80 polyphonic ringtones, 5 animated screen savers and 30 colour screen savers. There's also space for more of them, and the my-G5 offers the ability to download new ones via Wap.
