This phone looks absolutely adorable, I have the Sagem MY C5-2v (like the MY C5-2 but without the external antenna) and I would get the MY C2-2 in a flash! It looks small and slim and does the job! Hurray for phones with no features.... I mean, that's what they SHOULD be made for after all! :)
Naf phone. My wife purchased this for the looks. However it is not user friendly, for example it is unclear how you divert to voice mail or if you have accidebtly engaged the diversion how you disengage it. After a period of time the answer machine turns off and you cannot leave messages. As a final insult the battery life is non-existant.
All looks, no function!!! Avoid
Good entry-level phone. Battery life not so long, but it comes with the teritory, as it's a color-screen phone. The ring and in-conversation volume might have used a little tweaking, but if you use the headset included in the package, or the "speaker" option it more than makes up for it.
Speaking of connections, kinda difficult to get a data cable (which btw can only transfer multimedia content on & off the phone). Oh, and the signal quality is grrrreat!!!!
My advice is: if you can find it, buy it!!
I've bought this nice (really nice) phone recently. It's my fifth phone, that I've change since 4 years ago. Although it hasn't got IrDA, BT, camera ans such add-ons, but it's a PHONE. It's coverage is the best, even better than Nokia; where ever other phones hardly cover, it's at least three bars!!!! Yes, surprising, and really makes call. The battery life and standby/talk time is like other phones, it's not of course 360 hours in standby, but still suffice for 2 days with an hour of talk time plus messaging. It does really use its battery well. When the network is busy, or other errors occure, unlike Samsung, it ends the process of calling and you can retry again (faster than any other phone). And the automatic redial option can be switched off, not to bother you, if you don't like it (like me), unlike Siemens, which it's automatic redial is ALWAYS displayed after an unsucceessful call. It's slim and only 80 grams. You'll never get tired of carrying it in your pocket, even in the pocket of your shirt.
Handsfree set is also packed with the handset, so it's FREE!!! and its sound is great. You hear the other one very well even in noisy environments. It's the same with the phone speaker too.
There is an optional data cable that you can buy (but a little bit more expensive than other data cables, like Siemens and Nokia), but with that one you have the chance to add more pictures and sounds. JPG, GIF, TGA and BMP as well as iMelody, MIDI and WAV are readable by MY-C2-2.
The only negative point is its keypad, which has a liitle bit small keys. It may make you nervous when typing a message, specially when you are in hurry.
Finally I would say that it's the BEST phone I've ever had. If you want a PHONE, a real PHONE, not a MP3 player or digital camera, then go for it, and be sure you'll never get disappointed with it.
