Motorola - T720iMotorola updates the T720 with a new 'i' designation.
With multimedia-messaging set to flood the market in the near future, Motorola has launched its first MMS handset, the T720i, to join the list of models from Nokia and Sony Ericsson. It is simply an improved version of the existing clamshell J2ME capable T720. Like Sony Ericsson's T68i , it has an available camera attachment capable of taking images 160 x 120 pixels for sending as photo messages or 640 x 480 for email or can be stored in the phone for viewing. Pricing is expected to be set in the same range as the existing T720.

Most other specifications are the same as the current T720. The increase in weight is attributed to a larger capacity battery, which has been one of the biggest complaints about the original T720. The new i offers over twice the talk time and about 70% more standby time as the original. |
