Motorola - QMotorola announced today launched the Motorola Q Pro, based on the popular Motorola Q but with expanded functionality. Designed for enterprise users, the Motorola Q Pro features enhanced security software, an extended-life battery, additional mobile accessories, document editing capabilities, direct shipment services and enterprise call center support. Motorola has also enabled an enterprise-specific order portal and staging services to preload software.
The Q Pro features personal firewall and intrusion detection features to protect from hackers and common attacks. Other features include selective or complete data encryption, data wiping, and real-time event logging. The Motorola Q Pro also supports enterprise VPN solutions to help safeguard enterprise data and networks, as well as a password protection feature which provides a first line of defense in the event the device is lost or stolen.
With the Mobile Security Platform and the other components of the Mobility Suite, IT managers can implement the same security and management policies on mobile devices like the Q that they employ on desktop and laptop computers.
Running Windows Mobile 5.0, the Motorola Q Pro supports a wide range of enterprise and personal email / PIM solutions It allows users to download, view and edit Microsoft Word documents in addition to viewing attachments in a variety of other formats including Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, photos and video clips. Its open architecture and familiar operating environment opens the door to an expanding library of applications and eases system integration.

MotoQ Review
The MotoQ has officially been approved by the FCC and is expected to be out in the markets by June 2006 at the CES 2006 festival in Las Vegas.
Running the Windows Mobile for Smartphone 5.0 operating system, the MotoQ features a superb 1.3 megapixel digital camera with Zoom/Flash features, video recording and playback and more.
The audio and video side of the phone is also great. MotoQ lets you view streaming video and audio, supported file formats include MP3, AAC, WAV and WMA (for audio) and MPEG4, WMV and H.263 (for video).
Weighing at 115 grams and measuring 117 x 64 x 12 mm, the MotoQ allows you internal memory storage of upto 64mb and additional memory can be added via a miniSD/Transflash card.
Pocket Internet Explorer allows users of this phone to surf the Internet at ultra-high speeds thanks to EV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized) technology. Plus, a well built navigational keypad with a full Qwerty keyboard makes this even better!
