Motorola - M3588Motorola M3588
Advantages efficient, fast, free
Disadvantages none
My opinion on the level of customer service from motorola itself and the inclusive 12 month warranty with their phones.
I had a problem with the charging up of my mobile.
It was 11 months into it's guarantee so I would hopefully just scrape in to get a repair.
I had notions of phoning Motorola customer service department, getting an answer phone and hanging on the phone for 45 minutes to speak to some jumped up clerk who was as helpful as 99.9% of ANY customer service team for Any product. I then would have expected to get no satisfaction whatsoever or to have to part with more cash to put it right than to buy a new one.....
BUT...When I did phone...
Immediately I was answered by a Human!
They were helful, polite AND didn't tell me that I had to be transferred to another department!
I was asked to explain the problem and all the numbers and details identifying my mobile.
I was then told that someone would collect my phone by 3pm (I called at 1pm) with no charge for collection or return by courier service.
I was also told that when they receive the
phone they would do a FULL check of the complete phone and accessories included; I would receive back within 24 hours my phone with any replaced parts along with a complete report of the test results of my phone.
To my amazement the next day I had my phone delivered back to me with a replacement battery and an updated charger along with a full detailed report.
I incurred no charge or inconvenience apart from not having my phone for a few hours.
Manufacturing problems occur with ALL products but they are not all so eager to please AFTER you have parted with your cash in the first instance.
I would not hesitate in buying any other brand of phone other than a Motorola purely for the peace of mind that if anything DID go wrong then they will not quibble and find excuses for not putting it right.
The phone itself is also excellent and I shall be logging on again shortly to add my opinion about that too!
Advantages Really good value
Disadvantages I am now an official mobile phone user! Aargh.
Motorola M3588 with BT Cellnet Pay and Go
I am so impressed with this mobile!
I always vowed to never buy a mobile phone, however I popped in to a branch of the Carphone Warehouse the other day to ask how much an ‘emergency use only’ phone would cost and was amazed to find one for £39.99.
They offered really good impartial advice and assessed my needs in a logical and friendly fashion.
The phone includes an everlasting voucher of £10 worth of calls and that’s all the small print there is! No bills, no contract, no monthly fee or rental. So if we get bored of the phone, it gets stolen, we become really skint, we just forget about it.
The phone itself is a snazzy silver colour and has all the usual features: 4 hours of battery talktime, 100 hours of standby time and call charges are 30p a minute.
If you want a plain and simple, no frills, good value phone that you’re just going to use now and again this is the perfect solution! |
