Motorola - L2Motorola's Lower Cost SLVR - L2
It looks like Motorola is hoping to milk their four letter name line of phones for all it is worth. Today at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, the company unveiled the L2. The L2 is a lower cost slim line candy bar format meant for those that can't afford the upcoming SLVR L7. Like most of the other phones being introduced this week, the new L2 supports Push-To-Talk technology.
The L2 has no built-in camera, but does support video clip downloading and playing. And while it has no memory card slot or MP3 player, L2 owners can download and make use of MP3 files as ringtones. Oddly enough, this entry level handset does support Bluetooth wireless technology, so that you can use it with a Bluetooth car kit, headset, or with a Bluetooth capable PC.
Like the other handsets in the four letter word line (RAZR, SLVR, etc), the L2 can charge from a USB port on your PC.
Motorola expects the L2 to go on sale in the second half of 2005. No word yet on pricing information or in which particular markets it will be available. |
