Motorola - A728Motorola Introduces the A728 Linux Powered Smartphone
The Motorola A728 is one of three new Linux-based handsets introduced by Motorola yesterday, and one of two providing smartphone capabilities.
Details are light at the moment, but the Linux based A728 supports the normal smartphone features, including handwriting recognition on its integrated touch screen, PIM applications, SyncML support, and speech recognition dialing. The handset also includes the Yahoo! Instant Messenger.
The handset is folder style form factor, but instead of having an external display for called ID and other relevant information, the flip part of the case has a small window in it, allowing you to see through to the primary display. In another interesting move, the handset has only 8MB of internal memory, a very small amount compared to most other smartphones.
The Motorola A728 should be available now, according to the Motorola press release. |
