The Innostream Inno 75 for the European markets is known as the Inno 600 in the Eastern markets. The Inno 75 takes a break from the normal clamshell design of Inno phones and is a refresher in the fact that this one is a slider. Having gone through a lot of Innostream handsets; I know for a fact that the company's designs are not at fault however their lack of features especially those for connectivity are a major cause of concern for potential customers. While the Inno 75 isnt perfect it is much better then the other handsets from the same company.
While the Inno 75 still disappoints me as it lacks bluetooth, and I am so in love with this new bluetooth headset thats been gifted to me by a dear pal; it has Infrared (surprisingly its siblings lack even this basic unit). The tri-band GSM handset enables its user to roam the world. While we have had situations in which a megapixel camera based phone form Innostream lacked any method in which to expand its memory, thankfully this wont come up in the case of the Inno 75. The Inno 75 features a mini SD card slot. The built-in camera into this slider is a normal VGA camera (640 x 480 resolution) and can even capture video. The handset is comparatively light at 80 grams but its main attraction is the large TFT color display which has the capability of showing 256,000 colors. Third party Java applications may also be run on the system since it is compatible with Java MIDP 2.0. Captured videos and even others that are compatible can be played on the built-in MPEG player. Music lovers will be glad to know that a Mp3 player has been provided as well.
The Inno 75 has the potential of being one of the best handsets ever from this company, however it has played host to a number of delays for various reasons. First announced in the second quarter of 2004; one now wonders if this handset will ever get released. |
