Advantages Indestructability, Unbreakablility, Extreme construction
Disadvantages Sheer overwhelming size, Aerial size, Tendancy for battery to fall off
I got this phone free, and for free it is great! It is almost totally indestructable! I threw it at my brother really hard, but he moved out of the way, and the phone smashed against a brick wall. All that happened was the battery fell off and the casing came apart a bit. I clipped it back together - good as new! Also, I dropped it right the way down 2 flights of concrete steps, and again all that happened was the battery fell off! I have recently got a new phone, a Nokia 5210, which is better, but when I tried to take the Ericsson apart I found it very difficult, coz it was so well built. The bad points about this phone are the sheer size of it - it's like a house brick, or maybe even a house! Also, the aerial is astronomical! The good thing about the aerial, of course, is that it can be unscrewed, and the point is very sharp, so I can use it as a weapon to prod people with, lol! Also, the main part of the case is not changeable. Another good point is the battery life. Loads of people say it is rubbish, but I can get the battery to last about 5 days when left on all day and night.
By the way, the design of the phone casing is ridiculous. It is brick-like. Lol.
The menu system on the phone is not the best, but I wouldn't really expect much from a free phone. Also, the ringtones are an absolute fart! You get a composer though. The feel of the keypad is not very good, but if you make the phone "click" or "Bbeep" when a key is pressed, it tells you whether or not the key has been depressed.
After owning this phone for about a year, the only problems are that after throwing it with great force at a few hard things, like walls, the LCD has become a bit blotchy in the corner, although this does not affect what I see on the screen.
I would definitely reccomend this phone to anyone, but don't pay more that £40 for it.
