I was given an Alcatel 'One Touch Easy' as a Christmas gift in '99, and to be honest its not very good! Ok - its a phone, and you can ring people with it and send SMS messages..... but that's about it. The text messages are difficult to write, are all in BLOCK CAPITALS so it looks like you're shouting all the time, and the phone itself is bulky and in fairness looks like a brick.
The address book is also quite limited: all names of entries are once again in BLOCK CAPITALS, and there is a maximum of 10 characters per name, so you can rarely write the person's name in full, or have to use the word 'MOB' instead of 'MOBILE', for example, for a person's mobile number.
However, for people who travel internationally frequently, the number of available foreign networks is vast. Unfortunately, this is the only positive aspect of this phone I can think of. There are plenty of better mobile phones on the market, so I'd opt for one of those.
And to top it off, there's no games to play! |
