Although many have criticized this mobile phone for being too basic and for seeming more like a high-tech toy, it is a good choice for someone looking for a phone to use in case of an emergency or when purchasing a mobile phone for a youngster.

The Alcatel OT-E105 comes equipped with a standard Li-Ion 650 mAh battery. With this battery, the mobile phone can offer up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of stand by time.
The Alcatel OT-E105 does offer a calculator and two embedded games, which is also entertaining for children. It does not have photo capabilities, which may be disappointing if you have a teenager that is interested in getting a mobile phone. The Alcatel OT-E105 is only available in silver. As such, a picky teenager may not like the one available color.
If you are looking for a stripped down, very basic mobile phone to have on hand in case of emergency, this Alcatel OT-E105 mobile phone is a good selection.
